I don’t really think the trend towards low fat diets is healthy. People have, since the beginning of time, eaten animal fats. Our brains are largely fats. Our biological needs don’t change in just a few decades. Low fat diet advocation is mostly misinformation perpetuated through government recommendations based on outdated, debunked and flawed studies at the behest of vegetarian lobbyists who want the world to eat like they do. (I have nothing against anyone choosing not to eat meat, but strongly resent people working to prevent me from doing so.)
Carbohydrates are in fact the main culprit of obesity due to their ramping up of blood sugar levels, then insulin levels, which forces the blood sugars into the fat cells.
For anyone interested in this I recommend watching Fat Head The Movie.
