Firm and Flatten Your Abs… another review… more questions?

I hate looking around at all of these sites that try to act like they have the best abdominal workout online… when all they really have are old, outdated methods that don’t work… or either hurt people because of their methodologies.

Working the ab region requires a delicate balance of exercise and diet… yet most of these guides tend to make it seem like if you do all of these “twisting crunches” or “leg raises” that you’ll see a six pack in no time flat.

So I guess you can understand my concern when I was presented with a copy of Firm and Flatten Your Abs by David Grisaffi…

Would this be another set up… or could there actually be some good information… for people of all fitness levels.

And another thing… I’m not going to go into David’s credentials… you can find those on his site. I’m just going to give you my 2 cents on his product…

Deal?

Let’s get to it.

Well, I will give David one thing, he’s very thorough when he talks about the different “myths” that their are revolving around the “core” and the fat that is trapped around it.

No fluff here… this I like.

In fact, the first two chapters go over these myths in detail which is important because most people have several huge misconceptions about how to work the ab region.

Next, he goes into the actual muscles themselves… most people don’t know that there are several muscle groups that make up the core… all of which are important and work together.

The meat of Firm and Flatten Your Abs revolves around the actual workouts that David lays out… complete with starting points and tests for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced exerciser.

I have to confess, after reading through this manual and putting some of the workouts to the test… I can confidently say that I am definitely NOT an ab guru! :)

(But that’s okay, I’ll just focus on fat loss for now)

Seriously though, the order in which these exercises are presented is important and if you are going forward haphazardly, you’ll more than likely miss out on some serious results.

Best abdominal workout online? I haven’t found anything else that compares.

Does Firm and Flatten Your Abs have a weakness?

Yes… but it doesn’t cover “abs” in general.

In the book, David recommends lower intensity cardio. Now, if you’ve been reading through my thoughts for any length of time… you’ll know that I recommend interval training for most people’s cardio workouts.

That’s really the only “conflict” I can see.

Does it take away from the overall effectiveness of the book?

Ah… NO.

Other than the cardio recommendation, Firm and Flatten Your Abs is a phenomenal resource and deserves a spot on your shelf. You can find Firm and Flatten Your Abs at this address:

It’s well worth the investment… I’d trade dollars for the wasted time spent looking for information like this ANY DAY.

(Oh, and by the way, there’s a “Deluxe” edition of Firm And Flatten Your Abs that you have an option to buy as well. Do I recommend it… maybe… but I’d be a little afraid of you getting information overload and not doing anything while you try to get all of the information in your head. But, if you’re comfortable with it… the “Deluxe” edition IS a great value.)
